Although i have been interested in history, mystery and manuscripts for many years i found out about The Voynich Manuscript on Tribe.net (of all places!-). Most interesting from what i have untill now read about and i will most certainly delve deeper into this. Which brings me to my first question; is there a complete or nearly complete copy available. In print or on the internet?
To be honest i was pleasantly surprised to learn about such a thing as an undeciphered manuscript. At last! Everything is not lost! However another question comes as i think about it.
What makes it so mysterious/special apart from the fact that it is not deciphered as of yet? From where/whom comes the idea that it contains information that is interesting/valuable/dangerous or otherwise of interest to the human spieces?
Maybe someone can direct me to a website that goes into answering those question.
Thank you.

hi all. i'd like to mention a work which should be of interest to anyone interested in the Voynich Manuscript in that it has many points of similarity - fantastic illustrations, an invented script for an imaginary language, etc. : Codex Seraphinianus by Luigi Serafini. here's a link to a page that talks about it & provides images & other relevant links:

www.io.com/~iareth/codindx.html

now...the reason why i mention the Codex here is that i'd like to start a tribe devoted to it...but i don't know how much interest it would actually generate & wouldn't want to bother creating a message board that nobody uses...so please let me know if any of you would be interested to discuss this thing so that even if just a few people are into it i'll go ahead & create the tribe, to be called Codex Seraphinianus Discussion Group. ESPECIALLY WELCOME, of course, are people who own copies or can get access to copies...the copy that i have access to is housed at the UC Santa Barbara Arts Library.
i wait your input. thanks a bunch!
