Please let me know...

hi all. i'd like to mention a work which should be of interest to anyone interested in the Voynich Manuscript in that it has many points of similarity - fantastic illustrations, an invented script for an imaginary language, etc. : Codex Seraphinianus by Luigi Serafini. here's a link to a page that talks about it & provides images & other relevant links:

www.io.com/~iareth/codindx.html

now...the reason why i mention the Codex here is that i'd like to start a tribe devoted to it...but i don't know how much interest it would actually generate & wouldn't want to bother creating a message board that nobody uses...so please let me know if any of you would be interested to discuss this thing so that even if just a few people are into it i'll go ahead & create the tribe, to be called Codex Seraphinianus Discussion Group. ESPECIALLY WELCOME, of course, are people who own copies or can get access to copies...the copy that i have access to is housed at the UC Santa Barbara Arts Library.
i wait your input. thanks a bunch!

    I'm in!

I've studied this book quite a bit, read everything I could find, etc., etc.

Luigi Serafini is a hard one to track down. I once found that he was giving an archetecture seminar in Italy a couple of years back. I tried to write to him but never a response. Also found a website with his oil paintings, an analysis site (which was even more confusing than the codex) and a lot of fan sites. I've never read a word that he's written about the book and, as far as I can tell, he's never done anything like it since. He did do a smaller book called "Pulcinellopedia Piccola" but I've only seen photos:

I'd love to find out more about it, share ideas...

thanks for checking in, Jiri, i appreciate it! :) that website you linked is pretty cool too. okay...i've decided to go ahead & start the tribe when i have time, & between the 2 of us we'll promote the he3ll out of it. & of course once we get started we can talk not only about the Codex but related matters as well...which would be all the more bait to lure members in. i'm motivated. by the by, i thought of another tribe name: Seraphinians. ciao for now.
